Aisha Gwynn is a product of Rockingham County schools.  She graduated in 1995 from Reidsville High School.  She furthered her education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in History in 1999.  She has always had a commitment to education and community based agencies.  So much so that she did a stint as AmeriCorps VISTA working with a local education based non-profit.  After finishing her term with AmeriCorps she continued her work with community agencies, and armed with her Eli Segal Education Award decided to earn her Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2007. 

Currently, she is pursuing a graduate degree in School Counseling at North Carolina State University.  Professionally, Aisha has stayed true to her calling to helping those in need and is the current Director of a Victim-Services Agency in Caswell County, North Carolina. 

Aisha is a wife and mother of three.  She enjoys the game of tennis, reading a good book, and researching recipes.
