Lauren is a lapsed academic turned communications strategist with a knack for capturing attention. She believes in the power of co-ops, group purchasing, and community organizing, and has dedicated her career to drawing attention to the ways institutions interrupt “business as usual” to press for social and economic change. She is currently the Communications Director for the Community Purchasing Alliance (CPA) and loves telling CPA members stories through photography, video, podcasts, and writing. (You can follow her work on YouTube here).

Prior to joining the CPA team, Lauren worked for Duke University where she focused on continuing education programs for religious leaders and alumni of Duke Divinity School. She earned her master’s in Theological Studies at Duke and holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Religion from Truman State University.
