Our Goals
Supporting an environment where 100% of the Student Population will have the tools to explore illustrious career options before ninth grade, leading towards 100% of HS students graduating as career-ready individuals. Most notably with the Portia M Parris Fellowship.
Supporting an environment where 100% of the Community will have access to all the resources available that support and protect wealth and health.
Our Strategies
- Building genuine relationships at a pace that fosters trust, while creating space for marginalized voices and discouraging mainstream partners from using our organization as a substitute for direct engagement with vulnerable communities.
- Mobilizing individuals, associations, and institutions as we model equitable and inclusive practices for mainstream organization partners and encourage the use of inclusive processes that account for power imbalances.
- Capacity building, dedicated primarily to organizations that have leadership from historically disadvantaged backgrounds or focus on traditionally marginalized communities (e.g., Black American, Latine, rural, low wealth).
