So, You Think You Can Act?

Concept:

In partnership with Guilford College, students will help produce a dramatic production, telling stories that are presented boldly and authentically, illustrating each persons truth, their reality.

In essence, how each person deals with their own reality as it affects them socially, economically, politically and even ecologically. The final production will be a 60 minute program including two skits with audience participation.

The Outcome:

All participants will experience the SCALE of collaborative work. The skits intentionally table social issue topics and the actors get to demonstrate fluid emotions. Pushing boundaries, expose hidden strengths, and also areas of personal development.

The Reality of Money

Exercises for making financial decisions

Students in the exercise make financial decisions about paying for housing, transportation and other monthly expenses as they are "transformed" into young adults with jobs and other responsibilities to manage

Our target audience starts with 9th graders, with an invite to community volunteers to help reinforce sound financial behaviors.
